When Life on Earth Is Over

Just ahead is a day with the sound of a trumpet
Time shall cease here on Earth. (1 Cor. 15: 52)
Some who are there
Will then be aware
And regret of the day of their birth. (Matt. 26: 24)

At this Great White Throne, all that is heard
Is silence from nothing to say. (Rev. 20)
Those standing near
Will be in great fear,
They’d been warned of this dreadful day. (Rev. 20: 11-15)

Across a Divide is another great Judgment (Luke 16: 26)
Where God’s children will stand to declare
In one’s life, what’s been done
With their time for God’s Son,
To help others, not standing there. (2 Cor. 5: 10)

I believe that we Christians, standing before Christ
Will fumble for words to be said.
For the weight of the view
Hearts, be broken into
And crushed from tears that are shed.

Our minds may remember the lost that we failed (Ezek. 33: 1-9)
For just a short time, feel alone.
Knowing God, He will then,
Declare sadness to end
With memories and tears be gone. (Rev. 21: 4)
