I still remember, some time ago
A chapel on the ridge
The family gathered at this church
Where ancestors of family lived.
The chapel stood on family ground
For making invitations,
To meet again, whenever then,
Those, with reservations. (John 3: 7)
I remember still, one teary-eyed
Whose heart, the Lord had touched.
Nevertheless, more than the rest,
He had shared and given much.
I remember a time much later still
When sharing a service then,
And to just four, God opened the door
For God was calling again. (John 16: 8)
With all heads bowed and all eyes closed
A call to Heaven was made,
And a tear-stain face in the back of the Chapel
Raised his head for the Father to save. (John 6: 37)
From his nod to me then, he chose to decide
To give God his life, there and then, (Rom. 10: 9-10)
And I knew, in review, that someone else, too,
Was shouting in Heaven again!
