Tell Me Who

Who placed the rivers where they belong?
Was it the clouds above?
Or did the streams that often clean
Rebel on those they love?

The rivers’ banks have held so long
With little appreciation,
Should we therefore, wherefore, consider then,
Hasten their preservation.

We all have seen when banks are breached
Consequences then be dire,
For then we send our hopes and prayers
‘fore lives around expire.

When life is held as a spider’s web
It’s then, we understand,
And turn to One, God’s only Son
To live the Master’s plan.
