I’ve learned to be so happy there
From playing on the hill,
Where family lived so long ago
And family living still.
The Old Home Place and times gone by
Will never be let go.
The world I’ve come to realize
The past has let me know.
From time to time, I reminisce
To that, that’s etched in time.
He shows me where, He calls out names.
I hear Him call out, mine!
Thank you Lord, are words so cheap
To say, what’s deep within,
Yet, there is One, I owe my life
This One who calls me friend.
So, last of all, when I shall cease
This short life, that I roam,
I’ll take my flight with those I love
A place, we’ll know, as Home!
